So this happened today while I was screwing with Trap Boxes in Old Hillsbrad; it seems that client-side my character received no actions from server (or they were extremely delayed), but the actions sent to the server via the client were received. The video demonstrates this pretty well, for example, while I could not see or interact with my friend I could still chat and edit the raid makers, as well as successfully place items, kill myself, and teleport. Interestingly enough, all of these actions were registered by the server and replicated but after relogging none of them had actually affected my character. Don't ask me how I performed this bug as I'm not aware as to how, however, it demonstrates a large amount of potential by allowing one-way interactions with the server while the character remains in a completely different dimension seemingly. Additionally, I'd love to see someone use this to it's full power if they manage to replicate the effect even if it is just a network related "problem".
