So right now I've got control of the embersilk market on my server (it's a low pop server so its not hard to maintain even with minimal farming) and I'm making a good amount of gold (probably about 8.9k or so each set of auctions)but I feel like I could be doing a lot better. I've considered jacking the prices way up but I feel like that might backfire. I guess my question is should I put back some of my embersilk for the xpac(didn't think this was a good idea since I've heard all the professions will be lvable through wod mats), go robber baron on the auction house, or is there something else I could be doing with the silk that would be a bit more profitable?

I use two methods depending on how much the person is undercutting me. If they undercut me by a considerable amount (5g or higher) I just buy them out and set them back at my price. If they undercut me by just a few silver and they do it consistently I drive the prices so low for a bit that they lose interest in the market.
