Is it possible to search for characters with certain items in WoW Armory?

As the title states I am wondering if it is possible to do a backwards search in the wow armory, searching for characters with certain items.

I am trying to find characters with BoA helms with grandfathered enchants so I can contact them to buy them. If anyone knows a way to search characters to see if any of them have a certain item please post your method / ideas!

Yes it is possible, I my self find wow chars with certain head enchants on BoAs

You could try polling /api/wow/character/<realm>/<username>?fields=items but I doubt Blizzard will allow looping through their entire database:

Applications may make up to a total of 10,000 unauthenticated requests per day.
Applications may make up to a total of 50,000 authenticated requests per day.
