Setting your Hearthstone

I found this out about 2-3 weeks ago, but when you talk to an Innkeeper and set your Hearthstone bind point, the exact spot where you are standing is set.

I have set my Hearthstone for a level 63 at Shattrath, on one of the rises, OUTSIDE of the inn.

How:

Set a keybinding to Interact with Target.
Highlight Innkeeper.
Walk around outside of inn. If innkeeper is close enough to wall, hit your keybinding.
Set your Hearthstone!

Note: Unfortunately, the facing of your character is not set as well, but setting your facing before Hearthing usually works.

In vanilla there used to be this cool exploit for this with the innkeeper in gadgetzan. You could declare war on Steamwheedle Cartel (?) and then kite the innkeeper to wherever you wanted to, and with some macro or something untoggle war and set your hearthstone to whatever location you kited the innkeeper to.

It's been a long time, so there was probably some more to it but if someone wanna try this again it would be cool to know how it went

This is pretty much common knowledge and has been abused in multiple different ways in the past.
Don't know if this mechanic has ever been posted separately though, so won't say it's a repost.

Nowadays we call this the Explorer's Hearthstone! It can be fun setting your hearth location under the stormwind inn.

Sadly, the 'ConfirmBinder' function is ignored if you are 'at war' with an innkeeper within range, so even hacking is not an option there.

You best chance would be to try this VERY old method that MAY (not) work:

Requires 4 people:
-obviously, you (A)
-opposite faction hunter (B)
-opposite faction member (C)
-opposite faction member (D)

Now to the actual method:
-C drives Chopper mount
-D seats in Chopper mount as a passager
-B pulls the innkeeper with misdirection on D
-C drives away (at walking speed), letting innkeeper melee D at regular intervals
-B stun/traps the innkeeper at desired location
-A stands within range of the trapped innkeeper(inRange = CheckBinderDist can't be nil) , carefully monitor the CONFIRM_BINDER event / spam the ConfirmBinder function using etrace/macros/addons/hacks
-B feign death, C drives away (at mount speed) and drops D from the mount.
If you done right, you'll have a small interval (less then a second) until the innkeeper runs/teleports back to it's spawnpoint.

While this may sound like a crazy theory, it used to work around Wotlk.
Various aggro mechanics have been added or changed since then, so if one of you has the chance to try this out, let us know what you get.
