Banned - 72 hours - It's been almost 5 days Now

As the title states I received my 72 hour ban from blizzard around 5 days ago ( a little less ) i received my email:

Since the line between the sanctioned use and the abuse of game mechanics is sometimes unclear, we prefer to educate players before taking any action against the account being used.

This category includes using/distributing game mechanics in a manner unintended by their design that:

* Damages another character, their gameplay, the service itself and/or its economy

This character was found in violation of exploiting the AFK function in a Battleground at the time of the report.

The actions detailed above have been deemed inappropriate for the World of Warcraft by the Blizzard Entertainment In-game Support Staff. As a result, the World of Warcraft account has been given a 72 hour account suspension and will not be accessible for the duration thereof. This World of Warcraft account has also been forwarded to our Account Administration team for review of current and previous policy infractions to determine if further account actions, up to and including account closure, are necessary. I was wondering if anyone's 72 hour ban has been switched to a permaban or just took a while to go through with reactivation. Also on another note...


While I was away from my computer using a bot I was whispered by a GM after being reported by people Im guessing... Anyway the GM contacted my Guild Master and said that if he knew anything about my botting that the guild could disband, so he was forced to gkick me....

So again, anything like this happen to anyone? I've sent two emails already and no reply. Thanks

I received one of these on my last account after doing the turtle mount scam. Essentially what it means is you are definitely getting a 72hour ban and on top of that there investigation your account to look at your previous infractions. If they see you did lots of other similar things or any other serious things of a different nature your account will get perma banned.

Just wait it out until they do the investigation. If your account is perma banned you will receive the typical this account is being closed email. Good luck.

Thanks guys, Atleast now there's some more hope, I haven't done anything else in the previous 2 years I've been playing so I should be ok, Just worried about it being 5 days almost already. Wish me luck!

My first ban was for impersonating a GM, (kinda funny macro that i messed with noobs) it was 72 hr, but ive gotten numerous 3 hr bans after that, so its not nessecarly (yes i know, its spelled wrong) your "final warning" but meybe for something more serious

My first ban was 72 hours, after that a bunch of small 3 hour to 9 hour suspensions.
