IMO its always been "safe" to bot as long as you use common sense. Ive been botting for 2+ years and never recieved a ban or suspension.

You might be referring to the recent PQR banwave.

when that ban wave happend i got banned for 3 days for botting with _keyspam, should it be safer now?

Just use common sense when you use any kind of bot, and you should be allright.

Common sense as in dont BG-bot 24/7 and push out 500+ auctions per day.
