I was wondering if functions that teleport you to an instance (such as the current chemical crown LFG queue) could have their packets intercepted and modified to allow you to enter a different map / instance / anything.

I'm not a narcissist, you idiot.
Sniff the instanceID for the event instance. See if you can scan for it

Btw, unless i'm misremembering, these are handled similar to rolls.
You - "Hey server, I want to roll between 1-100"
Server - "Cool, you rolled a 1."
You - "Thanks bro"
But in this situation, you are probably trying to request event A to happen. They most likely have a check to see if you can even start even A. If you can, they will start it (and teleport you there). Otherwise, they will send you back an error.
Goodluck though if I'm wrong =P
Trying to get into old naxx / other now gone instances? :O
