How do I get in touch with someone who is now using my sold account?

I've sold my battle account about 1-2 years back (with WoW on it) to someone. Now I want to start playing again when the new expansion comes since I kind of miss the game and I would like to contact the person I sold it to in case he already stopped playing and would like to sell back to me.

I tried to search Armory for any of my characters to see if he's still playing but I noticed that every character I find, it says: Oops, character not available because either the account is inactive or the character wasn't played for long enough.

All I want to do is somehow get in touch with the person that has my account and ask him if he would be interested to sell it back in case he stopped playing. Any idea how I can do that? I have the battle.net account's old email (he changed it) and a few character names that used to be on that account. That's all the info I have.

    Thanks for any help!

How do I get in touch with someone who is now using my sold account?

Just buy a new account, and start leveling, would be my advice to you.

You sold your account, it's got a new owner now.

Maybe the new owner still play on the account. He doesn't have to use the old character names - maybe he name changed them, transfered to a new server, made new characters, who knows? As I said, just get over it and start over on a new account. Leveling is so fast anyway, it's a joke at the moment.

Already checked that. Literally nothing I could contact him with. We did talk over skype but he doesn't seem to use that anymore. Hasn't been online for ages and chat logs are long gone.

Yeah, I might just do that, you're right. But I'll still give it a shot and ask him if I manage to contact him. I mean, I don't have anything to lose, even if he doesn't want to resell it, I might just get a new friend to play with when I buy it.

Just call in and get it back. If he still uses it he will contact you most likely.

If you still have the CD codes you can easily get it back. Unless he changed the name on the account. You'll also need to know the email. On second thought you're probably out of luck.

If he paid via paypal you should have his email stored somewhere. This is what I'd tried first.
Maybe you could try to contact customer support via phone and try to get the primary email from the Bnet account, assuming you still remember the account name.

That's actually a good idea. I can always give it back if he contacts...but it's still a scumbag move I think.

That would be a really bad thing to do. He sold his account, then reclaiming it would be fraud.

Yes, I think I wouldn't really be able to do that, my moral won't let me lol.

Yes. But this is just a means to an end. The account owner will contact him and if he's not interested in selling it back he can easily just give it right back.

No, you just don't take something you sold back. It's almost like keeping the extra key for your car when you sell it, so you can take it back if you regret selling it. It doesn't work like that, and it's stealing. He sold his account, and the buyer paid for it. It's just not his any longer.

Don't contact him tbh... buy another account or create a new one. You sold your account to him and it's his if he wanted to sell it he would probably put it up for sale on some site. But i for one know how scary it is to have the old OO add you and say he is interested in his old acc and wants to buy it back. This happened to me and i said no but from that day i was paranoid that one day he would probably take it back, since if he really wants the account he can easily get it... And yep 2 months later my account was recalled by the OO.

It's really better to just forget that account and not even try to look up your old main characters gear/achievements/mounts since this will make you want it more and more and it will only be a matter of time before you try to recall it...
