Blizz Banhammer - My IP may be on their watchlist

So all my accounts got banned recently and I had to start over. I ressurected an old BC account and RAF a new account different email etc. 2 weeks later (tonight) both accounts got banned for gold selling, which I haven't done. I've been doing nothing but leveling running mostly dungeon and doing some quests. Short of VPN, changing internet provider and getting a new computer what are my options here? Seems they have it in for me and whatever scan they are doing my accounts are showing up even the new account that has done nothing but level some toons.

No gold selling. My main got banned last month even though he was never directly involved. This old account got banned when I resurrected it using the 7 day free trial without doing anything other than leveling. Appealed got reinstated. It was the last account that had access to my gbank so I had to resubscribe and all I've been doing is raf leveling since. What surprised me is that the account that got Raf'd and brand new got banned also and the only thing I did was raf leveling and darkmoon faire dailies.

Its because you've been using a VPN. Blizzard doesn't condone the use of VPN software however a lot of the gold selling sites use the same VPN address you may use for example they may redirect their instances of WoW through a server in the United Kingdom and you've been using that same server in the United Kingdom with the same ip address, so therefore they banned the gold selling sites IP, but also it banned your Ip too.

There was an article about it recently, however I can't seem to find it.

Appealing may be the best way to go here on all of the accounts and just say you used a VPN. As long as they haven't got any evidence you did gold sell, you should get your accounts back.

What is the reason for you first ban ? I got ban on 5 accounts for economy abuse in two time (gold selling, and this is right).

Blizzard banned a lot of IP adress because hackers use VPN to hide theirs identities. Make a ticket to appeal your ban, tell you don't sell gold, you used a VPN because your internet provider have some lags. But Blizzard is uncompromising, they don't deban a lot.


It's your own account (old BC account ?), if you bougth an account for SoR it and it's not your account, Blizzard lock them to avoid hacks. If this account could take gold in your gbank, that's the reason for your ban, like mine. All my account where one char could take in my gold bank got perma ban ...Take an other account, but don't trade or sell gold, your IP is flaggued ... Maybe you can ask for a dynamic IP

I was not using VPN or anything. Just normal play. Like I said all account are mine. They were battlechest accounts with no infractions at all. I was not doing anything illegal at all on them, just leveling. I appealed and both got reinstated but something is flagging my accounts and it could be I need to make drastic changes to my hardware.

The reason for your bans is clearly unknown or unstated. But Blizzard will be Blizzard and I wish the best of luck to you getting your accounts appealed. I recommend a IP change as stated above.
