Well I just used a 7 day trial - September 20-27 - Then I used your link. I just got a 10 day MoP trial. That was not 30 days of inactivity. More like 10.

I received the email for coming back to the new patch for SoO but when i tried to claim it I was told that my account didn't meet the requirements, so i put in a support ticket and the GM told me that he didn't know of any promotions like this so he gave me 30 days free game time.

I think the promotion finished the 21/10/2013, maybe this is a explanation.

Nah what he meant was there was a spam email sent to a lot of people phishing for account info. The standard non-blizz promotion email.
