Caught buying gold but it hasn't been taken.

Don't know if this is the right place to post this but here goes.

Yesterday I purchased 30k gold from someone on here. The transaction was veryyy sloppy and unprofessional which I'm sure triggered some alarm bells for Blizz. There was also a player at the place where me and this other guy traded the gold who might have reported me.

Sure enough 2 hours later I get an in-game mail from Blizz customer support telling me to check my emails regarding important information with my account. I check the email and sure enough they found out that I purchased the gold and linked me to a page about 'why gold buying is bad' so I read it and it basically says that the gold is subject to removal and that's pretty much it. I was actually surprised as last time I got caught buying gold 3+ years ago I got either a ban or suspension (I don't fully remember)

Anyway, this was last night and now it's morning and I still have the gold. Is there any chance they will let me keep the gold? I don't understand why they didn't just take it straight away. Does this usually take a while?

Caught buying gold but it hasn't been taken.

I haven't bought gold in WoW ever so I don't know of the penalties but I don't think they have it in their ToS to ban players for buying it only selling. Assumtion that.
As for taking gold back I haven't heard of anyone complaining about that oddly.
I did buy D3 gold many times and no Issues there. So far...

The truth is simple - some "unprofessional" persons sell unlegit obtained gold (scammed or from hacked account), which they sell right away to customers.

The point is - the hacked or scammed person report them almost instantly, and the GMs soon check the logs and trackdown the gold track, and could remove or action the actual gold holder.

When the GM found out you are not affiated to the hacker, but a goldbuyer, I suppose he gives you a warning only.

That kind of stuff do not happen with the gold, obtained the legit way. Me and a lot of friends buy and sell gold on daily basis, and never had complaints from end customers, simply because we do not work with "dirty" gold.

P.S.: Regarding the 3rd person, you have mentioned - I have seen recently a scamming practice from similar "unprofessional" sellers (or label them scammers), which have 2 toons on the trade spot, both with almost identical names - like Onda or Qnda for example. And trade you the gold with the first, then convince you with the second to trade him back the gold for some lure reason - like he forgot to take screenshot etc. and scam you out of course!

You receive a warning from Blizzard when the goldseller is a scammer or if he is chinese (Blizzard track scammers and chinese sellers). This is only a warning, don't be affraid, you will keep your gold but i don't recommanded to buy gold from this kind of site, just find a private seller who play on your server, and who farm gold without botting.

I sold many millions of gold, and any customers received this email, i don't bot / scam, just farm gold in AH.Try to trade items when you take the gold, it's a better way to avoid the Blizzard tracking.

    Have a good day
