Hey guys, I haven't seen any threads like this lately and I wanted to give people something interesting to read about.
I want to tell you about a few things you probably didn't know about WoW.
I have gathered together some information on things I have found interesting from many articles I have read. Be ready for a slightly long, but enjoyable read.
Talisman of Binding Shard
This item was removed from the game's loot tables after the loot in MC was completely redone.
Talisman of Binding Shard only ever dropped once, from Baron Geddon in the Molten Core the 23rd of March 2005 for Noktyn in the guild Nurfed on Archimonde Server. This item is no longer accessible, as it was removed from the loot tables the same day Noktyn got it. However, Blizzard allowed him to keep it.
*It may have been a first shot of what became in the future [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker], since this drops from Baron Geddon and can be interpreted as a Shard of the Talisman of Binding ("Talisman of Binding"'s Shard)
*This also is unofficially the very first legendary item that dropped worldwide.
*It is stated that this talisman is the only one that can be viewed on the character.

Martin Fury
Martin Fury is an Artifact shirt. Given its description, the shirt is likely a weapon used by Blizzard for testing purposes. It is not accessible to regular players.
In April 2009, player Karatechop from the guild <The Marvel Family> on Vek'nilash (US) received this item from a guild member (Leroyspeltz) who had been been granted this item through the mistake of a game master.
It was used fourteen times in Ulduar, Eye of Eternity, and Obsidian Sanctum, where he was awarded several achievements for "killing" bosses, before his account was subsequently banned by Blizzard Entertainment.
Following the ban, all members of the guild were also given a twenty-four hour lockdown, regardless of their involvement.
Patch 3.2.0 (04-Aug-2009): Removed from game. Changed from artifact quality to poor quality. Plate armor type removed. Attributes +34 Mana, +34 Strength removed. Effect changed from "Use: Kills all enemies in a 30 yard radius. Cheater." to "The caster commits suicide, instantly killing themself." Item level reduced to 1 from 5.

Crafty's Pole
Crafty's Pole is a fishing pole that grants a +1000 bonus to a player's fishing ability. First discovered in the World of Warcraft Official Armoury, this appears to be the first, and only legendary fishing pole. Seeing as 600 is currently the maximum skill a player could have in this profession, most of the bonus granted by this item is redundant.
Crafty's Pole is believed to be a GM tool for testing new fishing system that was introduced in Patch 3.1 to compare fishing success with a minimum and maximum skill level.
Shortly after this pole was publicly known it was removed from the Official Armory.

Peep's Whistle
Peep's Whistle is a legendary flying mount item that summons Peep the Outland Phoenix. This mount increases flight speed by 310%. Only GMs (Game Masters) can use this mount. The "Alex" is Alex Afrisasbi, one of the Blizzard quest designers. It is identical to Ashes of Al'ar dropped by Kael'thas in Tempest Keep.

Martin Thunder
Martin Thunder is an Artifact weapon which can rarely be linkable on certain realms. Quite uniquely, it has no weapon type so it can be wielded by any class. Given its description, the weapon is likely a weapon used by Blizzard for testing purposes. It is not accessible to regular players and has only appeared wielded by Game Masters in screenshots. The weapon is very similar to the shirt, killing everything in a 30 yard radius with just 1 click.
Its graphic is almost exactly like that of the [Argent Avenger] from a Stratholme quest line, but has some blue on the hilt.
As of patch 3.2, both this and Martin Fury have been changed to grey items, and the Area Death spell on both of these items has been changed to a Suicide effect instead.

Thank you for reading this thread! I hope you enjoyed it. I will be thankful for any suggestions of what I should put into this thread to make it even better and I hope I can build it up to be a good looking established thread (which I am eager to create over time). I will also be changing fonts sizes and colours when I get more time, to make it look much better. - Slippy
