Bot + Accounts

Was just wondering if anyone knew, if I were to setup a dummy bot account to farm on and keep separate from my main account, would Blizz be able to trace it back to my IP and thus ban my main account?

I understand botting is dangerous, just trying to minimize fallout. Thanks.

As long as it doesn't come in contact with your main account your main account is safe.
Also Blizzard very rarely traces IP and bans the whole IP adress, this happens only if someone bots on like 50+ accounts

You will be fine, most ppl who bot do this.
As an extra precaution, don't login at the same time both on your main and your bot. Just to be safe. (inb4 "i do it all the time").

They won't touch your clean account as long as you keep it separated from your botting one, even if they are on the same bnet; and why would they if you're not doing anything against the ToS.
