I have now grown tired of not being able to raid due to the quite complicated fight of the first boss; "The Stone Guards" in Mogu'shan Vaults, and have now decided to finally learn the fight properly through main tanking, and have come to this logical conclusion after browsing the Dungeon Journal, though am quite wondering if it's correct:
The main tank must always tank the "active" one trying to petrify and another. When the non-petrifying one's Energy being tanked by the main tank is getting high (around 80), the off-tank must taunt it, with the main tank taunting the single one which the off tank originally had before taunting. The main and only purpose is to only let the "active" one explode as it's damage is reduced by 90%, unlike the non-active ones which will deal a heavy damage of 250k to the raid and shouldn't happen. When the one tanked by the off-tank is sent in to "active" mode, I've heard about two ways of handling it:
The main tank taunts the single off-tank one and tanks 3, when one the 2 non-active one are gaining a high Energy, the off-tank must taunt it and the main tank remains with 2.
Or this one: The off-tank should wait to taunt until one of the main tank's Energy goes high, which the main tank then must taunt the single "active" one off simultaneously.
This is what I've come to as a finalized conclusion after both watching the Fatboss explanation and again reading the Dungeon Journal, is it possibly correct or have I misinterpreted something?
