Where do all the people buying gold go to for quotes?

I have noticed all the people who post they are buying gold in the marketplace, all offer the exact same amounts on the exact same days, or they will be full on the exact same days and not accepting gold from certain realms on same days. To me this means they are all like a middle man and check with some other site and buy gold and resell it to this place that they check with. Anyone know what site they are checking prices with? I have some gold I want to sell , but price has dropped drastically in last 3 days, they offer me half of what they did 3 days ago and I would just like to get the most I can. Like literally sold to them for .8/k and now they offer .4/k

Is there a way to find out which server has the highest offered price for gold? It would be useful for guild bank transferring between realms, for example.

yea i dont think this is what they use. i have gotten different quotes last few days, they are all the same each day, but varies by day, but everytime i look at this site its always .0005/g

This is tricky to explain. Structure most of the time looks like this

You ----> middleman 1 and/or middleman 2 ------> selling site ----------> customer

There's only a few very hard ways you can skip those steps and get directly to the customer. Customers don't hang out on forums like ownedcore and shit. Customers go to a highly trusted site and click 2 buttons to buy gold. They don't want to talk to you via skype or negotiate, they pay up and get the gold delivered. The gold is delivered by the site, which was supplied by either supplier or a middleman, who bought it from you.

You can use this site to check prices and/or market oscillation (if you don't want to sell, you'll at least know when prices change).
Highest price realms are least selling ones. That's how China works. When they get a customer for some realm like Hakkar, they charge him more and they offer greater price for that realm. That's the best price. Its not worth it anyway, since you'd never know when will you sell and crap. Most of half-serious people in this business offer the same price for all realms.
As for prices, there's so many things affecting it, I wouldn't even know where to begin explaining.

Since 2 days the prices are dropping heavily in europe, and it happened in a very weird way. The companys corrected already existing bids by ~0,001 yuan. For my server the price is now 0,27€, considering the middleman's cut, you wouldn't get more than 0,2-0,24€/k. the same happened on other servers. It may very well be the case of a new major exploit/dupe being sold to the goldselling companys.

The most sites for example sell 100k for 75€ on my server, and they want to give me 0,2€/k. Means 20€ for 100k.
Try to get a privat buyer. You get so much more €. I trippled my €-income.

i got 0,35-0,43€/k from my chinese reseller and i was fine with it, couldn't be bothered trying to find private buyers a) when i first tried it i got scammed 2 consecutive times (i think i needed that though) and b) it's very hard to find private buyers on middle pop servers. Also i can't realistically find enough private buyers on my server to sell my 50k average daily income. Most private buyers of medium pop servers don't ever browse sites like ownedcore or ********ers. So i will probably save a few days to get 1 million gold + bank and guildbank full with shoulderenchants (gb=boe enchants)
and transfer the guild to a server with good chinese prices and demand or find a private buyer who really wants to buy that much. TL;DR: never sell below 0,35€/k.

It can be tricky with private buyers, but you can simply use a middleman first few times. Also, if you suggest a middleman, you need to show your reputation (OC thread is just fine) and assure the buyer you aren't a scammer. Since he can't assure you (unless he's got an OC thread of his own) he will agree to a middleman. Just gotta be very careful who you deal with =) Middleman services do cost, however its a good investment considering you will gain a trusted buyer for long-term.
