xferring realms? Get BMAH items cheap before you do

So, I assume this will be common sense to the majority of people on this site, but y'know, whatever.

Blizzard has a rule that within 3 days you are allowed to change a purchasable service, in this case, realm change.

So, if you're xferring to a different realm, hold on a moment. Xfer to a dead server first, then buy whatever you want on the BMAH. Then, put in a ticket, telling Blizzard that you transferred to the wrong realm and wish to transfer to a different one.

I did this when I was xferring from my old realm to Stormrage. Instead of going directly to Stormrage, I went to Onyxia first, and then put in a ticket after picking up some goodies from the BMAH.

Now, this may not work as I may have just gotten a cool GM (since I doubt Blizzard really allows this), but meh.

I wouldn't really classify it as a GM trick. They will give refunds/fixes as long as it's within 3 days no matter what, this would just be a semi-clever way to use it towards your advantage
