pretty much im wanting to experiment with botting and was planning on making a trial account to do said experimenting on im wondering how blizzard handles bans...as in if they catch you do they just ban the account? or do they ban your whole ip adress?

They ban the account that was using hacks, and also ban any other account that received aid from the hacking account.

So if I were to bot on my alt account, and not send anything to my main account, they would not ban my main account. However, if I sent anything from my alt account to my main account (such as ore/herbs/gold), then they could ban it, if I remember correctly.

Also, they might monitor your main account, but if you lay low then they won't ban you. So, if you plan on just hacking on a trial, your main account will be totally fine.

(I've speed/fly hacked multiple times in WSG on trial accounts for S&G's, on the same b.net as my main account, and never been banned)
