    Funniest Scam Attempt

    Hey Guys,

This is currently happening to me on skype,

I have been scammed out of $225 , and possibly another $350 here but its hilarious so

I put a post about wanting gold, someone replied i speak to them

Its a great deal etc i send $225

Said women (asian i assumed, and her location was japan) then says oh no her electric has cut out, please send another $350

I debate it over (Pretty much knowing its a scam) but i do, but not as a gift and with the note saying im sending this only on the precaution i can get a refund if *** etc is not met

So all in all, i speka to the "boss" when she goes offline,

He calls me and goes "YOU GOT ****ING OWNED DUDE YOU FAG"

He then keeps saying shit to me like you fag, umad bro

    Im completely calm etc

I then say how im gonna charge back on credit card and get barclays fraud prevention to follow it up so im not fussed

Said guys attitude changes now, after explaining how i dont NEED the $500 now so aint caring and can take my time in getting it back... he starts worrying
He then tells me his friend said hed give him money if he did this etc so i went on the attack again

[08/09/2012 22:54:54] Me: Why shouldn't i ? Have you got any money to send me back ?
[08/09/2012 22:55:00] WoW Gold Sell: omg no
[08/09/2012 22:55:05] WoW Gold Sell: i didnt recieve any money
[08/09/2012 22:55:06] WoW Gold Sell: ffs
[08/09/2012 22:55:14] Me : You not got any of your own money then ?
[08/09/2012 22:55:25] WoW Gold Sell: owww
[08/09/2012 22:55:27] WoW Gold Sell: not that much
[08/09/2012 22:55:31] WoW Gold Sell: wasted it
[08/09/2012 22:56:09] WoW Gold Sell: fk sake
[08/09/2012 22:57:13] WoW Gold Sell: plz
[08/09/2012 22:57:16] WoW Gold Sell: dont do anything
[08/09/2012 22:57:58] WoW Gold Sell: plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

So what do you guys think i should do ? Let the kid off ? and be at a $225 loss or just wipe the floor with him and get him in shit ?

    LOL much ? :P

    Thanks

    Raven

As i said in the chat above - What does $500 really get you now a day ? not much.

Yeah that may seem obvious, but the one im speaking to now i dont think is a bad kid, and i would MUCH rather lose $225 usd then upset a kid :/ LOL

Letting him off easy will just give an incentive to try the same shit with people who might not be so easy-going about losing 500 bucks.

IMO kids like these just need to get into shit for doing this atleast once, so they don't do it again.

In the end it's all up to you though!

I do agree, i think best course of action would be to just let barclays take care of this if paypal cant help

In my opinion, you should do everything to make his day become even worse. I can't imagine somebody scamming another person, and act in such an unprofessional way, like saying "LOL you got owned BIATCH", it's just pathetic. Why would he even try to scam for irl money? Does he know he can get in jail for this? Does he actually know the real risks of scamming irl money? If it was in-game, the worst thing that could happen to him was to get his account banned, and your gold back, but it doesn't work the same way with real life money because they're not generated by Paypal for example. I mean, if it was not for a big amount like 20$, sure, but 200$+ is too much mate. There are people in my country - teachers - that get less money per month, and you'd get away some kid who's laughing at your face that he scammed you for 200$+ to get away? What's more, I don't believe that he'd give you the money back even though he says so. These are just some desperate children who would act in any way - like the good and the bad cop - just to get away with it. Those are potential thieves. Would you like one day your kid to come back home crying because he got robbed by this same guy and get depressed for at least 2-3 months? I think you should make EVERYTHING to worsen his situation, so that he learns his lesson, and start making some legit money. Kill the thief in him while it's still doable.
