    Account Banned after 5.0.4 release.

Hi, just got my account banned today and the reason given is...

Reason for Closure: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Abuse of the Economy

This account was closed because one or more characters were identified exchanging, or contributing to the exchange of, in-game property (items or gold) for "real-world" currency. This exchange process negatively impacts the World of Warcraft game environment by detracting from the value of the in-game economy.

Even if this is the result of account sharing, the account owner can still be held responsible for the penalty because of the impact it had on the game environment.
Now I have been fish botting lately with "MrFishit", but I thought it was undetectable! It doesn't give the exact reason for a ban, but I have also transferred multiple times large amounts of gold between my own characters. So what do you think it is? My gold movement or the fish BOT? And what should be my reason to appeal? Admit the BOT fishing and apologise as I haven't botted before and haven't been banned for account activity before and/or claim account sharing? or completely deny any wrong doing?

How should I approach this, as I'm not 100% sure as to why I have been banned?

    All help appreciated!

they claim you were selling ingame stuff for IRL money. So if you have not been doing such things then appeal it

But the term Abuse of the Economy can also mean the below..

This category may also include accounts we find to be supplying property for exchange. Supplying can be described as otherwise normal in-game play (such as gathering ore and herbs) and filtering these goods to another account to exchange them for real world currency.
Doesn't "normal in-game play (such as gathering ore and herbs)" also apply to gathering of fish for personal gain?

That's your biggest problem right there..

Once you get past that then its a matter of smarter activity :-)

Not botting for 10+ hours every day..posting hundreds of auctions..

There's really a lot of things to consider..

I dont see why this is a problem, this email has nothing to do with your bot.

They just picked up your transactions of huge amounts of golds between your characters.
Send em a Appeal and tell them to check the IP adress your accounts were on (if you were on the same ip ofcourse) then you can tell them that your the same person just moving gold between your own characters, if the characters are on different accounts with different names just say that you traded gold to your girlfriend or something like that.

Or just say you were money laundering

I got a ban last year for trading a friend back and fourth twice 50k, I appealed it and got it back the same day. If you traded like 50+k gold to another account, then it is likely It was an automated ban, so it won't be a problem to get back. I think you can also get automated bans for trading larger amounts of gold to the same account.

I moved 400k between characters. But I got a response of a GM now and they said, I was found to be using third party software, meaning "MrFishit", as I don't use any other type of BOTs.

It was not the program that got you caught, it was your use of it.

Mr. Fishit does NOT get accounts banned(hundreds of people, if not thousands use it), people get banned because they run it for too long or in stupid places where people notice someone fishing without moving for hours at a time.

When enough people report you they look into it and see 16 hours of fishing without moving or ever taking a break, then you get banned.

If you are going to use a fish bot, use it well. Don't stay in the same area for long and if you have to, find a good hiding spot(clipped).

I received exactly the same e-mail this Friday, with absolutely no reason, I never use any bot, never selling ingame items or anything. GM wants ID from me, because they think someone hacked me, but it's bullshit. I think there is some problems on their side. Currently waiting on response from gms, like 10 hours +.
