No SoR Bumps for Monks or Pandarens :-(

Blizzard just announced that in MoP, "Players who receive a Scroll of Resurrection will not be able to apply rewards (e.g. boost to level 80) to monk characters. Players who send or receive a Scroll of Resurrection will not be able to apply rewards (e.g. in-game mount, boost to level 80) to pandaren characters that have not yet chosen a faction."

Bummer! (I guess this was expected, though. But I still hoped...)

Even tho SoR wont work, you can RaF it which is even better. Simply grant levels up to 79 - then level it so it almost hits 80, and then grant it to 80, and then you will almost be 81

You can do this at level one. With the level granting system, at least last time I used it, they boost your level and experience bar at whatever percentage it is at, so get to 99% into level one, and then boost to 80. No reason to wait until 79 to do it, unless the system has changed to be experience and not percentage.

I think it's kind of pointless to block one way when there's another, albeit somewhat slower, way to accomplish the same thing. It would certainly help the glut of characters that are going to be in the same place at the same time. I would think resurrecting a former player would result in more long-term accounts than new ones would. (Except in the case of OwnedCore readers, that is!)
