Method to change last name on bnet acc?

My buddy has stopped playing and has the Rag HC mount, and I want to change my last name to his so I can x-fer his toon to my bnet and have the mount on all my toons for when MoP Lands


Is this possible? I've searched the forums but all I've found is services charging $500 or more

You can call blizz customer service to change the last name on the account. I've only had them do it for me once and then again it was tough. I basically had to sign my soul away to the devil to get them to finally agree to change the last name.

They are going to definitely ask for the Secret Question, First and Last Name and Email to the WoW account.
If they do not ask you to send in a photo ID then you will have a chance of getting your last name changed.
If not then, just try to call again later.
