Hi, I've been having this issue for quite a while now, 1.12.1 doesn't seem to have more than 12 active software channels on any modern PC running Win-7 that I've checked, not allowing me to hear more than 12 sound effects at the same time, so most sound effects around people don't play.

Things I've tried that didn't work:
XP comp mode.
Creative ALchemy since i own a Sound Blaster card.
3D Sound Back (inbuilt sound card).
Is there any way to increase the amount of Software and/or Hardware channels by hacking / modifying?
Maybe there's a way around that?
My goal is to hear more than 12 sound effects at the same time on 1.12.1.
