    Downfall of WoW or?

Hey guys, long time since i posted a thread here

Here's the deal: i used to be in a top100 guild on Bloodfeather EU, but since blizz pretty much ****ed the whole raiding system and made a lot of hardcore players quit wow. I decided to take a break for a while too. The thing is blizz gives too much attention to newbie/noobs and nerf things too fast and/or make things way too easy compared to the past.

Anyway i decided to give WoW a second chance... I'll start up my account again in July or August since that will be the time i'll get money for it. Just to play and check out MoP later! If it's good i'll continue playing. Now since my old hardcore guild is dead thx to blizz i was wondering if anyone here has any top guild to apply for. My gear is DS gear from LFR and normal mode... my main is an orc warlock. If MoP fails i'll quit forever anyway... (DS is a BIG fail to me)

I would also like this thread to be used to hear your thoughts about changes blizz made in the last expansions/patches to the raiding system, pvp system or anything. I wanna hear people who have played since vanilla talk about what they think about it and i want fresh players to think about how it used to be. How long do you think WoW will last (with decent amount of people who clear the content)?

For me, 40man raids were so ****ing nice and hard! Also loot was OMFG but that made it all worth it... 40man maybe became a little too much but 25man was perfect! They should never have made 10man and 25man share titles, loot, ....... I miss the old days

Oh on last note: keep it clean, don't flame or act like shit... everyone has his own opinion, learn to respect that

    grtz,
    latruwski

I completely agree with your post latruwski, took a lot of brakes from WoW during this expansion and now I'm only doing pvp. Great post, +rep

some real benefits i see from 25 -> 10 is:
    less lag.
    less blinding spell effects
little addon spam (think ultra 1st week ds was out with recount enabled in 25 man, was impossible to play).
easier to find 10 good people than 25 good people
less chance of a person going afk in 25 vs in 10, but that usually isn't a problem in a good raiding guild.

I still prefer 25 mans though.

To be quite honest, I still enjoy WoW. A lot of people are getting tired of it after all this time, that's understandable, but saying it's the downfall because you don't like it is like saying the economy is going down because you lost all your money.

Topic title might be a little missunderstood... Anyway we will know a lot more when MoP is released.
Check the guildrankings... How much great guilds stopped and how much guilds clear the content now compared to the past... it's unreal

Still imagine the hardcore players stop playing. Everyone remembers the big events where the best guilds in the world showed off in new raids... That was big advertising and skill.
In the future those events would be less attractive if people rush trough instances becuz everything is so much easier...
I mean the reason i watched some of these events was becuz it was insane to see people work together like that, having to concentrate... the game looked very very challenging and interesting. How will that be in the future?

Anyway the last part i wrote with a lot of "IF" so don't take it as "it will happen"... who knows what the future will bring... i'm just saying what i think could happen...
For me raiding DS is like playing battlefield3 or modern warfare3 with an autoaim key if you know what i mean...

    QFT.
The number of elite raiders aka "elitists" are far, far less than the number of casuals. Activision Blizzard is concerned with making $, and catering to the higher population of people is the best way to make that money. Yes it sucks, but what can ya do about it?

nothing, nothing at all man. it sucks that blizzard became a sellout. miss those days when they actually made content for fun and challenges. not for the mass

That's a reply i appreciate. It's true... anyway blizz now lives of casual players (a lot more but a lot less frequent). In the past you had a steady growing wow-community with skilled players, now you have shitloads of people who just play a few months and quit again.

The funniest part is that they not only make content for different reasons but they also remove epic things. Without even making it an option to play both new and old stuff (private servers do not count).
