How does Blizz tell difference between Powerleveling and hackers?

Simple question,
In both cases, your IP will probably jump from you to china, and the hacker, if you are hacked, will probably farm gold, but how does blizz find people who hire powerlevelers and ban them, and how can they tell who is powerleveling and who is hacked?

Hackers will generally strip your toon, farm 24 hours a day, trade mass quantities of gold (sell) to a level one, etc.
Powerlevelers will generally keep your toons gear on (for obvious reasons), get you better gear (hackers dont care about this), not sell gold, play a reasonable amount of time

I dont think they differ between the two circumstances.. They just see the drastic IP change and think.. "oh the account has been comprimised.. Lets lock it" 9/10 times if your accound was happened to have been banned due to the IP change, its either not the first time its happened to you or the one who hacked you or the powerleveler was using a 3rd party program that was detected.

If it was from a different IP, the chances of you getting it back are pretty high..

This is a good question, and the answer is simple.. a lot of times they DONT. This is why when exploiting or hacking it is advisable to have a friend log your account from a different IP (Or use a proxy)
90% of my unban services are made possible due to an IP change... for the simple reason that blizz cant tell the difference in many circumstances.

I have an authenticator on my account but I want to order powerleveling through guy4game. If I detach my authenticator then order the PL will it raise some red flags at blizz?

Wouldnt it be easier if you just make a VPN connection and let them "play from your IP" ?
