[Painful Problem] Deleted cache, WOW effed up! Please help!

    Hello!

So I deleted the cache folder inside WOW folder today, nothing else, nothing less.
That resulted in a great PITA however.

Now when I open the launcher it started downloading the whole game content again although I have all data in it's place and unchanged.
Searching Google I found 1 topic in blizz forums about this particular matter and it was not solved so that's why I decided to turn to
this, more intelligent environment. Hopefully somebody has a clue what I'm jamming about.

Thanks to whomever finds time to leave a reply!

Have you tried running repair.exe? If that fails you can always reinstall in.

Ah yes, forgot to mention. That failed. I mean repair was successful but the problem persists. And one more thing I forgot to mention - I'm on OS X. Not sure if it matters but thought I'd trow it here anyway I'm currently trying to restore the cache folder and repair any damages on the disk if there should be any. This Mac be acting tricky sometimes with all the disk permissions and stuff.

    Edit:
Okay so I guess this Mac thing scared off all the living souls. But no problem I actually managed to fix it on my own and it wasn't that complicated at all.

My brother happens to play WOW as well so I copied all the crucial .MPQ-s from him and that did the trick. He has a Win version but all fellow gamers who will encounter that kind of trouble in the future and doesn't know yet, then feel free to copy and completely replace the whole DATA folder (preferrably same version) in WOW main directory as there are no OS native file types in your DATA dir, you can copy files cross platform. Hope this helps somebody in the future!

Yeah I see actually it was just luck lol. It's the same as downloading those files again hehe So just find a friend who plays wow or find DVD-s ! No other thing seems to fic this than replacing files.

    Peace !
