Frost DW Theory - Glyph of IT - 3/3 RP mastery - No Butch

DW Frost No Butch/IT glyph

This is my thought. With 3/3 in Runic Power Mastery - Spell - World of Warcraft and the 2 set T12 would i really need Glyph of Frost Strike. I'm in UH presence obviously. It would be more RNG based off of Runic Empowerment - Spell - World of Warcraft . With enough it would make Haste even with Mastery imo boosting your frost damage so you get more from stats. Can i get some ideas on this?

Now on topic:
For those who don't exactly recall the descriptions;
Tier 12, 2P: Your Horn of Winter ability also grants you 3 runic power every 5 sec for 2 min.
Glyph of FS: Reduces the cost of your Frost Strike by 8 Runic Power.
Glyph of IT: Your Frost Fever disease deals 20% additional damage.

As for your theory, it's a bit vague.
Ideally, you will have both your talent-trees to be frost DPS builds, and two (yes two) dps itemsets.
One for single target and the other for AoE situations.

Multi target using Frost Presence taking adventage of Mastery for talents like Howling Blast, Morbidity, Virulence and Glyph of Icy Touch.
The general idea there being to increase your flat damage on as many targets as possible.

Single target using Unholy Presence taking advantage of Haste for talents like Killing Machine, Improved Icy Talons and Runic Power Mastery.
The general idea there being to get the 'RNG-stars to align' in your favor with more procs, less rune downtime and still being able to spam Frost Strike at least 5 times if things just don't go your way.
This is where the Tier 12 2-piece bonus and Butchery come in handy as they generate Runic Power passively so you're always sure to have allot more Runic Power then you otherwise would for more frost strikes; and Runic Power Mastery and Glyph of Frost Strike simply let you do more frost strikes in a row too.


To answer your.. question, ideally you'd rather have a different bonus, talent and glyph then what you got here; but when you luck out and can't do ANYTHING for 5 seconds (god forbid repeatedly), your damage is hurt allot more.

Once you get the 2 piece, you can change your spec a bit. change to a spec like this: Talent Calculator - Game - World of Warcraft

There is no endless winter since FL fights don't need interrupts. (except for alysrazor but you don't actually need to interrupt it)

and please do use the FS glyph. Stack haste and go frost presence,mastery is good too but not as optimal unless you go frost presence which is a DPS loss but mastery is more useful than haste.
