Are tanking specs good for solo questing?

I'm talking about choosing specs like Prot Pally/Warrior, Bear Form, and Blood Death Knight for solo leveling. As for the non-tank classes, what specs make it easier to solo quest?

Not really, unless you have terrible gear, which shouldn't be a problem, go with a dps spec, ret pally, arms warrior, feral dps, or unholy death knight.

I would go Feral DPS for soloing, but I find it hard to take on more than 2 enemies without dying (and I'm not fighting them on purpose, either. They are either close to each other, or another enemy attacks from nowhere when I'm already fighting one).

I leveled my paladin as prot all the way 85 and geared up as prot. Was good for aoe control also. My druid i leveled up to 85 as feral tank, but in cat form until more then 2-3 mobs were on my i went bear, also good for aoe control. my DK i leveled up as blood all the way to 85, same there good aoe control.

Ever played a prot paladin or warrior as a tank with damage equip? It's ****in' awesome. I'm doing this at the moment again, and I love it. Tank-Warriors are the best levelers I've ever known. You can destroy your enemies in seconds because you stack revenge, your healing is excellent, because you can heal yourself with the victory rush and the best: You'll get nearly instant invites in most time. (Sometimes it takes you a few minutes, but this isn't often.)

I would ever play a tank again, and I've played more than one paladin, warrior and death knight as a tank. I only don't know how it is with druids.

Oh really? :s I never thought it would be any good, i'll give it a shot on my warrior i'm leveling up. ^^ I leveled feral on my druid as well, not specced for tanking but more of a pvp kinda spec, have the damage there when i need it, and have the defensive cd's there when i need them as well. ^^
