Possible to manually patch wow?

Hey folks.

So here's the thing.

I've downloaded the patches up to and including 4.0.6 but I can't install them.

I put the the files at their right place but still neighter the patcher or the launcher wants to apply them and shows the old version number ./

I don't know what to do about it.

WoW-4.0.0.12911-to-4.0.1.13164-enGB-patch.exe and WoW-4.0.1.13164-to-4.0.1.13205-enGB-patch.exe worked just fine but after that my luck failed me once again.
