It's a interesting and controversial theory, however I don't think that Blizzard could steep to such low levels, or even get away with it. The chances of this actually happening is lower than low.

But I don't think that bliz need the money from gold sellers. They make billions every month from subs.
All they need to do is bring out a new mount every so often and they boost there bank account by a few million.
