Having trouble reverting back to TBC

Hello, First i want to thank all the hard working people that have created servers and repacks for everyone to play on or distribute. Without you all this forum and my life would be boring...no scratch that, my family always comes first then gaming lol.

Anyways here is the trouble i am having. I want to play WOW but since Cataclysm and Wrath of the Lich King pretty much ruined the game (just my opinion, and my wife's as well) we dug deep here on mmowned and found a few pre-WOTLK server packs to play on.

Sadly though we cannot get our game clients to revert back to TBC, after deleting the wow folder we re-installed from the first World of Warcraft up to the first ex pack TBC. Applied the patches for TBC and restarted the computer only to find a cataclysm log on screen and the latest client version 13 XXX. Any ideas?
