NPC script?

I'm wondering if there is any certain script to link NPCs ingame. For instance, I've come across scripts wich lets you link items and spells ingame.

Example:

/script DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage("Shift-click this link to put into chat: \124cff71d5ff\124Hspell:9743\124h[GM SERVER SHUTDOWN]\124h\124r")
