I have not really ever patched over WoW but after my attempts of using speedhack/noclip/engineering to get to GM's island (even though its going to be boring, I just like trolling with GM's though tickets) I have settled on patching over WoW.

My mate told me if you patch over WoW you edit the game data you see stuff differently, E.G. if you get a patch to make a mountain a ramp so you can walk up it, is that true?
If it is, what do other people see? do they see you walking on air or are you in a different "phase"? Also can this be done on Blizzard's official servers.

If it can, can someone link me to a patch that works with 4.0.1 to get to GM's island and a tutorial to patch over my WoW?
If not I'll search for it once my other questions are answered.

First off, wrong forum, second: From what I know you cant just edit some patch-crap to make a mountain into a ramp, for that you should use an XYZ hack or similar. Search the forum

Yes, you sure can unless something changed since 2.3.x.

Check the Model Editing section. You're looking for world edits.

First off: I said I didn't know where to post this as the part that I would post in said no questions.

2nd: Ether you or my mate has no idea what you are talking about :L He is saying you can make it look (for you only) that mountains are ramps and you can walk up them (other people would see you on the air) and stuff like that.

Okay, call me a retarded but can't you "modal patch" a path to GM's island? and can't you "modal patch" away to get past the blue walls?

If so, can you (I have searched and can't find) link me to those two things (or just one)?
