Keg-Shaped Chest contents changed after patch!

About a week and a half ago I made a thread in the exploits section claiming that if you keep the badges of frost in your keg-shaped chest untouched, the contents of the whole thing will change after a patch (whether or not it originally had an epic in it to begin with). A lot of people just threw the idea out the window, flamed, said I had no proof (well, I had no direct proof, just heard of it before) and maybe like one person actually said they would try this.

I just transferred my hunter that has about 13 chests to the PTR, and guess what? I'll just let the picture to the explaining:



Not the best picture I could have gotten of how much stuff I got but you guys get the picture. For every two frost badges I got 24 justice points, and every single one of those chests open were empty on live servers when I transferred this character over. After transfer I obtained:
Swift Brewfest Ram x2
Great Brewfest Kodo
Tankard of Terror
Direbrew's Remote

Even though this is sort of an exploit I didn't think it belonged in the exploit section because the event passed already and it is no longer possible to obtain the chests. Just thought I'd throw it out there to inform some people that were smart enough to save them just like I did!

I am truly hoping this proves true with the major content patch 4.0.1 I have 6 Landro Gift Boxes, tons of Oozing bags and Direbrew chests waiting to see, if then or with Cata, they reset =)
