Horde ganking exploit/cheat?

A few weeks ago, I was playing my hunters (dual boxing) and ported from Dalaran to Iron Forge. Just after exiting the portal area in Iron Forge, I died immediately on both toons because a horde rouge ganked me. This seemed to happen to a lot of other people, as there were bodies everywhere. I have never turned on my PVP Flag, and after talking to two GM's, no one had an explanation. I'm not really worried about this, as it hasn't ever happened before or since, but I was curious about it and was wondering if someone on this site had any information to share on the subject.

Well, are you completely sure you weren't flagged?

There is no other explanation than that you were flagged mate.
Remember if you buff someone thats flagged, you get flagged yourself.

Like I said, I was playing two hunters, which can buff and heal about as well as a warlock. And I'm absolutely sure I wasn't flagged, it was off when I checked and I never turn it on. Besides, I was ganked about 5-7 seconds after I ported to Iron Forge.

if somebody heal you(if healer leave pvp combat within 5 min), beforu you go to port you got pvp flagg

Well, there is always the chance that if you came from lets say Icecrown, flew into Dalaran and right over to the portal, you would still have your flag on
