Since I've been more bored than usual lately, I've decided to test 3 in-game leveling guides that have been pretty popular to TRY to decide which is better once and for all.
The guides I will be reviewing are Zygor's, Hexigames Booster, and Dugi's Ultimate WoW Guide.
For this review I made 3 fresh hunters. Each starting out in the same zone, and using the same race (Troll). The goal is to reach level 10 the fastest WITHOUT BoA gear.
Zygor
Played time at level 10
2Hrs 27Mins 5Seconds
Things I did not like
Makes you grind to finish off your level.
Doesn't mention to do other quests at the same time as your current one.
Certain steps don't automatically update (Hearth, make new home)
Other Thoughts
From what I've seen (It could be different at later levels) I've noticed that Zygor tries to make sure you're at a decent level before attempting a quest that may be difficult at a lower level. This is pretty nice in theory, but is not needed in my opionion. It's even more useless with BoA gear.
Hexigame's Booster
Played Time @ Lvl 10
2Hrs 15Mins 53Seconds (could have been 10 minutes less)
Things I did not like
Some errors and bugs.
Random TomTom dots on the map and a few bad NPC locations, not too far off though.
Other Notes
Quest path is much smoother than Zygors.
Dugi's Ultimate Wow Guide
Played Time @ Lvl 10
N/A
1Hr 18Mins 58Seconds @Lvl 8.25
I was unable to finish due to servers being shutdown to apply the 4.0.1 patch. I could wait until patch is implemented to continue on with the review, but the class changes could result in a dramatic difference in leveling speed.
Things I did not like
Literally nothing
Other Thoughts
Just when I thought Booster's quest path was as optimized as it could be, Dugi came along and made it noticeably better.
