    Introducing Battlenger Project

    First, i'm sorry if i posted in wrong section, thought it's not suitable for botting/hacking subforum as this is not a hack.

    This is latest project of mine and it's a IM (messenger) project for battle.net.
    I'm coding it in c# and progressing through. Here's a very first UI draft;

    It's more of a desktop based battle.net messenger and game manager. I'm looking for contributors to project. As of now, as i can't share much information, it's not open-source YET, but eventually will be. PM me if you're interested in the project.

    Here's another image from the packet analyzer;

    Note: Please only PM me if you're used to with socket programming, reverse engineering and protocol stuff.

    Very interesting project. But have you considered implementing it as a libpurple protocol plugin for pidgin? Would save you tons of time on coding UI elements, and let you just get right down to the gritty.
    I'm geeky enough to play on Linux...

    Actually battlenger is more of a IM, but instead a game-manager. So i'd take off this way but eventually any one can implement a libpurple compatible one..

    I must admit I was wondering when Blizzard was going to release something like this.

    I can see myself using this very heavily to keep in contact with my officers and guildies while I'm on vacation or in a lecture.

    Something else if possible I would recommend once you have completed it, is considering adding some sort of RSS like feature for events that happen on sites like MMOwned and mmo champ.

    If you ever get this program finished and secured then I would definitely use it and be happy to contribute my +rep to you.

    For the security part, only thing that can make this program secure is pushing it as open source - as i'd wouldn't myself also handle my bnet credentials to a code that i can't trust with on my own..

    You can check the progress on battlenger - Project Hosting on Google Code.
    Note: LibBnet2 module is not comitted on the public repo and will not be so for a while.

    As the project is quite modular, i'm still working on the UI and the LibBattlenger. For the development purposes i also implement a LibHon module additional to LibBNet2.
