Older account question.

Ok so awhile ago, 5-6 months before WotLK dropped I had bought an account off of a good friend for the sum of 9000 gold. Anyways it was all fine until I decided to trade it. I had the SQ and everything but when the email was changed the account was locked and they asked for ID. After that I just gave up and quit playing because I had put SO MUCH time into that account. Anyways I came back and I am wondering what I should do to get it back. I don't have the ID BUT I am about 95% sure I know the correct name on the original WoW account. Should I send in the thing they requested long ago? Maybe get a scan of an ID and put the name on it? I know it's some thing like Identity Fraud but I know the person I got it from and it was his brother who is currently in another country. I know for a fact they will never come back is it worth it to try and get this account back? How much trouble could I be in if they somehow saw that the name was photoshopped? I could take some precautions and send it from a wifi near my house, and use an old laptop? I really REALLY want this account back, I miss my druid....

I had the account to 80, I can't remember exactly when it happened but it was probably somewhere around 6 months ago. They should still be able to get it back?
