Best professions for gold?

Which professions in world of warcraft makes most gold? i was thinking about skilling alchemist on all my chars( and transmute master on everyone! thats around 800g+ everyday!

BUT if there is anyone that know how it will be in cataclysm it would be awesome if you let us now, or let me know if there is any similair to transmute master in cataclysm like there is now?

also tell me about how you get gold in world of warcraft! If you farm veins/herbs whatever! do you just sell the mats or what do you create?

mining/herb, mining/jc, herb/alch, herb/inscrip. It all depends on ur server economy.

Level a character up for every profession.

Paladins are exceptionel for mining/herb since their Crusader aura

Other than that, when you have them all try to find ways of earning gold with each and every of them, it's a lot easier to get more gold the more professions you have really.

This will ofcourse take some time, but once you have them all it will definately be worth, i got them all right now, and if i'm ever in need of gold it does not take more than about 1 hr to get 5-10k again.

This is ofcourse just if you have the time anyway and you want to get a lot of gold.

And the transmute master idea is incredibly bad The amount of time the epic ones proc and also the blue ones is so small that potion and flask is so much better, though you ofcourse only need 1 of each.

Since you have 8 chars i'd recommend level 1 of each profession, maybe 2-3 of alchemist because of the different masteries.

If you suck at goldmaking, just get two of the three gathering professions. If you are good at making money (which you obviously isn't), you can do it with any profession.

Right at the beginning start training a profession, it saves alot of time

Blacksmithing
Tailoring
