FTFY. Gearscore is the worst thing to happen to the game, seriously. Its useful in theory but people use it for the entirely wrong reasons.

A wise man once said, "Gearscore is like a bikini, what it reveals is suggestive. But what is conceals is vital". People use it wrong, it should be a guideline not a requirement.
I once was talking to a GM early in the morning and we were just generally chatting and he came to org and turned himself into a tiny dragon and flew around, it was pretty fun. I guess GM's can mess around if they want.
