[RaF][Question] partner gets banned...?

Here's the scenario:

Let's say I wanna make another account purely to bot and hack and exploit and all that fun stuff, separate to my normal account that's legal and I put tons of hard work into:

If i refer my own account as a friend, bot like crazy on the other account, and somehow blizzard finds out...

A) Would they recognize same IP and ban both accounts?
orrrrr....
B) Only ban the account that actually did the botting etc, leaving my main account in all of it's beautiful glory.

well, from what I understand, Blizz does not IP ban or when they ban one account your other wont get effected by it, But if your going to do that, make sure its 2 desperate battle.nets and not linked to each other lol, being more safe than srry

Yeah I've also heard no IP bans but, who knows. They will definetly be different battle.net's so it looks as if i really did recruit my 'friend'

As long as they aren't paid for by the same credit card/paypal account, are on different battle.net accounts, and share none of the same info (different name/address/phone number) then you should be good.

Absolutely. There have been plenty of examples of people using gatherbuddy that have gotten their main accounts banned along with their botter account solely because they were paid for by the same credit card.


Try buying game card keys online or trade gold for them on your server.

In order to effectively have no link between the two accounts (besides RaF, of course) would be to...

A) - pay using gamecards
B) - use different battle.net / email adresses
