Possible to play WoW for Mac in a VM (windows host)?

Titles says all, I want to play WoW for mac under vmware to run pocket gnome (too scared of the warden) because I'd gladly avoid messing with hackinstosh and dualbooting.
I have a good quad core (q9550) which should be up for the task (does vt extensions too)



TLDR
1) do 3d games (wow) work in osx under vmware with a windows host?

2) does pocket gnome work in such a setup?

VMWare is too weak to run WoW.

I've searched a little and it's not an issue of weakness, a quad core it's enough to run dx9 games on vmware fusion, but the problem is that the virtualized hardware of vmware for windows is not supported under osx.. so no 3d acceleration.

Anyone has any experience with pocket gnome? is it any good?
