Ganked on a PVE server? WTF!

It could possibly be a glitch, a while back Snake Traps could flag you PvP. Happened to me while I was watching XROADS get decimated once.

idk how far back you are saying this but i would run around inthe blood elf starting place eversong woods and some lvl 10mage was killing in the dead scar i poped a snake trap on a mob and they went for it but it didnt flag and it got pwnt.. again it ran from me so i poped snake trap followed it.. and the snakes caught up to it again it never flagged i was on a pvp server as alliance at the time.
