Machinima lipsync

I am going to start with machinima after
watching some movies at utube, i also have
advanced sony vegas knowledge, but there
is something i cant understand after hours of
searching, how do i make characters lips move?

I don't really think this is how most
people lipsync, my theory is that they
use some sort of command ingame that
makes ur chars mouth move and they
then cut it so it is synced with audio.

I find it funny that not a single thing kael'thas said in that video was lipsynced.
