Question about "Payment Chargeback"

So yeah, my account recently got locked due to a chargeback that occured on my account. Obviously, this wasnt my creditcard that was the problem, either it was the secondary owner who did something or something else weird occured.

Now question is, I have called them several times about this issue and sent in my information and documents. However, they want me to either provide information about that creditcard that I have no idea about whatsoever. Or, tell them an explanation on how this could occur or what might have caused it.

I tried the "I got hacked" method, obviously that is out of the question.. The card from I know, belongs to a US residential person, and I live in EU. So I would really appriciate if someone could help me out on this one, because i'm really clueless what to tell them.

so I don't *really* understand you but do you mean you "got" the account and played on it and now the OO(original owner) did a chargeback on it? if that's the case you have basically no way of gaining the account back unless you somehow contact the OO and ask him to pay the chargeback fee(which won't happen if the account is stolen or something).

The Old Owner used a Creditcard that didn't belong to him. It did belong to an US Resident, I don't know how he got the card or anything. I don't really have a steady contact with the Orginal Owner anymore since hes quite busy with work.

So that kinda clears things up, I have no idea what to write. I can't tell them that a friend used a card from US that wasnt his, because then they would suspect fraudulent use.

I'll give 10k gold or a gamecard to whoever helps me with this issue.

well did you already ask them to just change the payment to your bank account? and pay the chargeback via your bank account too? if that doesn't work there's no way around it since you owe blizz money, and blizz like their money.

I told them that I could pay the whole chargeback with my own account, but they said that they want an explanation how this could happen, how someone from my IP could have used a card where the owner residing in the US.

I have a thought about telling them "A guild mate used teamviewer with me to refill my gametime, since at that moment ...."

But yeah, it's indeed quite hard..

This is the first time I hear of something like this, usualy in the U.S they just lock the account until the chargeback is paid, doesn't matter what happened.

What kind of documentation did you send em in?

Tbh mate theres nothing you can really do apart from saying that a friend you know online from the us added the gametime for you, if they ask for the 4 numbers on the card or his name ect say you are not in contact with him atm and you will pay for the chargeback, if they dont buy this story then you have probs lost your account mate.
