RAF question

Wow is 5$ now so i figure i could try out RAF for the first time. I read some guides but I'm a little confused.

To boost my RAF char through instances can I just use the 80 on my main account and the boosted char will get 3x xp? Or do I need 2 RAF accounts and the 80 on my main account in one instance to get the 3x xp bonus for the 2 characters. I really just wanna know if I should buy 2 new accounts or just 1. + rep for an answer

You will need 2 accs, 'cause if you want to benefit from the x3 more XP, the chars (which accounts are linked of course) must be within 40 yards and 4 levels of eachother, some say it's 10 levels but I think it's 4.
So you need 2 accs which are linked together and your account to boost them, 3 accounts total. Hope I helped :P

One more thing, will this work? :

I use my level 80 account to recruit my 2nd account and then use my 2nd account to recruit my 3rd account.

So then when I go into an instance the 2nd and 3rd will share the 3x benefits while the level 80 runs them through. I wanna do it this way so I can get the zherva and free month on my level 80 account.

yes it would work that way. keep in mind though that you actually need to BUY an additional month on the RAF account to receive the free month on your original account. not sure about the zhevra but if you get it along the free month then the same goes for it, too.
