Question about buying gold

I just started playing WoW again and wanted to ask, what are the chances of getting banned purchasing gold?

Especially on a new account

Are there any "safer" merchants to purchase from?

I was thinking around purchasing ~ 5k gold, maybe less, maybe more.

Well, just don't make it obvious, try to do the trade in low populated places. And, I use GameUSD.com
