whoa! I found GM island on 2.1.2 WoW Live!

Errr, I deleted the last thread with the same topic as this because I almost made an idiot out of myself.
And now I re-creating it again because after doing some googling, I noticed alot of people seem to think GM island has been removed (Im refering to WoW live and ver 2.1.2).

Well, to make a long story short, I found out that GM Island is STILL stored on every single clients machein in America. If you dont beleive me, go into MyWoWStudio, extract World\Maps\Kalimdor\Kalimdor_1_1.adt and open it with WoMapEditor. You will see something like this (click).

So what DID they do? They moved it way further North/West from where it previously was, and don't have water in between (it's empty space).

You can still see it in WoWMapView. Open it up, click Kalimdor, and looking at the minimap, you will see a tiny speck... right behind the text that reads HyjalPast. Annoyingly, trying to click it to view that area results in click the text in the forground, but if you click farther to the right, and take time to fly the camera there from a distance (press M btw to se where the camera is on the map), you will eventually see it.

Anyways, I just that it was funny. I mean think about it, the BLizzard took time to move the island.....

instead what they did was keep it on EVERY single client's machein in America... But just made it harder to get to. LOL!



Anyways, I almost feel motived now. lol, cause I mean, they HAVE to be egging us on. They didnt nerf it, they just made it harder to get to. Now I feel like I must dedicate the rest of my life to getting there. lol

As for if it's possable or not, it is. Messing with TaxiPath (the zeplin and boats) has been nurfed. I know this because I deleted the taxi .dbc files and WoW runs fine, even without MC. So WoW isnt even reading those files anymore...

BUT! If I or someone else made a program that can edit .WDT files (it wont be hard, the data format is posted on http://wowdev.org/wiki/index.php/WDT), and insert tiles full of water between the ocean and the island (basically fill up the empty void). It can be done.

Then all we need to do is somehow get past the fatigue bar. Using WoWMapEditor I found a way to cheat the breath bar (increase the water height and swim above the normal water line) but I cant get rid of fatugie bar. Though... I HAVE noticed in the past when speed hacking that if you swim out far enough the fatigue bar goes away. But I dunno if speed hacking is possible with the 2.1.2 version, they have really cracked down on that.

And THAT is the only thing that I can really forsee getting in our way... The fatigue bar. lol. Maybe if I was to speed hack slightly and use seal form as a druid I could make it? I dunno, but I feel determined to try....

Wow.. on the game i used to help run the GM island was bloody huge, cheat items spawned there and so did Super Exp Mobs xD

You can't. The water stops before GM island starts, theres a big massive gap you can't get through.

The purpose is going there not being there. Another way you can tell that GM Island is still there is that you can teleport to it on private servers.
