GAME FEATURES
LOWERPING is an Australian run business. Being gamers who have been gaming for 13+ years they have experienced first hand how fustrating lag could be.
Having found a legitimate way to reduce latency particularly in the game World of Warcraft, lowerping was launched for testing during the period of October/early November 2007 with good response and positive feedbacks.
A Basic Explination of what the Program's In the setup guide do is:
Sockscap/Proxycap/freecap Sends your wow data to Putty. Putty then sends the Data to the Lowerping servers from there it goes to the Wow servers.
Some Internet Security Programs will Block this from happening. They are just doing there job - they look at the conection and see that the Wow Data is being intercepted.
What does this Mean??
It can mean getting stuck on Connecting - Authenticating when trying to log in WoW.
OR
Wow Will launch Normally -- therefore provide no ping change,
Some Firewalls may Also block the Connection and you need to add the These programs to the Allow or Exeption's List. Some of these programs include: (There Are a few Others also)
Kapersky Antivirus --- Freecap Will not Work with this
Norton/Norton360, (With Norton Firewall, you must set wow to ALLOW, under program rules - or you will get stuck on connecting or success) This must be done even if you have unticked enable firewall in Norton
Mcaffee Firewall (If your using proxycap you need to add it to the allowed programs list)
OneCare's firewall (a little more complicated - email
