[WTF] Night Elf Mage?

Night elfs cant be mages...they banished the nelfs and are now highbourne/blood elfs Thats going against some serious lore blizz...but hell lets throw the lore out the window. I could see Holy cows (paladin/preist taurens) and maybe dwarf shamans...but a night elf mage...that really bothers me...and its just a game

I dont really understand how taurens have gone from the Natural Magic to Holy Magic, It just doesnt quite fit well with me.

With the World Tree gone, the Night Elfs power over nature will wane in time. It sort of makes sense that they would shift to another source of power over time as well, as their natural powers faded.

Cataclysm is ALL about adapting to survive, the survival of the fittest. Night Elf's, in the beginning, were hungry for magic, they were addicted, but seeing as the world is falling apart and they have to ADAPT to survive they have to go back to their addiction, to have more power.

Dwarf Shamans make complete sense, seeing as their ancestors are iron dwarfs, using the earth as their power.
