I just bought a wow account for the first time, and spent quite a bit of money on it.

I just realized, and remembered what a friend told me a while back. You can't add your credit card to an account with a different surname than yours.
Meaning i couldn't pay subscription without gamecards or move servers.

Is this true, and if so is there a way to get past it? Using battle.net perhaps?

My friend for example gets his parents to pay for him, but they have a different last name... so I don't think that there is a problem...

I think the surname rule is for account transfers and character transfers, not for funding
